Back in September of last year (2019), I was forced to give up my subscription to Adobe products. Adobe had raised their prices and I couldn't keep up with the payments anymore. Needless to say, I was saddened by this because I've been using those products since very close to the time I started creating digital artwork following a year of teaching myself how to draw 27 years ago. I considered installing one of the older versions of Photoshop and Illustrator that I owned, but many of the newer tools (like gradient meshes) I used to create the pieces I do now did not exist back then, so I looked for other options. Since I've been mostly working with vector graphics the last couple of years, my first task was to find a suitable replacement for Adobe Illustrator. One vector illustration program kept coming up in my searches, Inkscape (https://inkscape.org/), a free and open source vector graphics editor for GNU/Linux, Windows and MacOS X, which had its own version of many the same tools I

I apologize for the lack of new content the past couple of years. Since I cancelled my subscription to Adobe CC as it was getting way too expensive, I had to find a new vector based illustration program to work with. I had thought to use Inkscape as a replacement, but that proved to be too unstable to trust with large projects, let alone the type of artwork I had been able to produce with Adobe Illustrator CC. I think I may have found a promising program I could now use a substitute instead, and have started (or restarted actually) a project on it to test whether it could handle the type of work I do, so stay tuned, we'll see where this will take us.
